The Collected Works of T. G. Masaryk represent the largest collected works project in the Czech Republic since 1945. Its concept began to take shape in the mid-1980s, but editorial work could only begin after November 1989, with the renewal of the TGM Institute and the establishment of the Masaryk Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The editorial project emphasizes chronological order and includes Masaryk's book publications, but its greatest contribution lies in the editorial processing of hundreds of studies, articles, reviews, and polemics previously scattered across Czech and foreign-language newspapers, journals, anthologies, etc. Texts originally published in foreign languages (German, English, Russian, French...) are presented in translation. The aim of the Collected Works is to make available the maximum number of Masaryk’s printed texts in a reliable form, with explanatory notes and an expanded name index in each volume. The editorial project was completed in 2022, comprises 39 volumes, and involved nearly thirty editors.
In 2022–2023, the full-text database Spisy TGM online was created, providing access to all printed volumes and enabling full-text search.
