The Correspondence of TGM

The series The Correspondence of TGM is published in parallel with The Writings of T.G. Masaryk series. The individual volumes present Masaryk’s private and official correspondence arranged according to personalities, and based on individuals or groups, covering the whole of the period of the correspondence. Where there is a very large amount of correspondence, the material is divided into volumes arranged chronologically on the basis of the edited materials. So far fourteen volumes have been published and we are currently preparing Masaryk’s extensive correspondence with figures in the United Kingdom and Germany. The preparation of two more volumes between Masaryk and the poet J.S. Machar for the years 1897 to 1934 is also underway.
